Episode #54: The Squatters Are Just Their Neighbors
First Broadcast: 7/17/95 Repeated: 7/1/96
An interview with a squatter about the resistance to
Mayor Giuliani's efforts to unjustly evict the squatters of
East 13th Street in Manhattan. (Another view which is often
ignored and distorted by the "mainstream" media, I might add.)
Episode #55: More Kiwi, Man, More Kiwi:
First Broadcast: 7/24/95 Repeated: 10/16/95, 6/3/96, 6/2/97, 4/19/99, 9/11/00, 2/18/02 (DV)
Repeated: 8/29/05 Episode began at 2:01:10 AM.
Our Kiwi-Strawberry
taste test of 1995. Most people seemed to like Nestea's Calypso-Berry drink. But out of all the non-tea beverages,
Snapple was the clear winner. Since
then, I've also come across kiwi-strawberry flavored
sorbet (it used to be there, anyway),
Jell-O,
and Kool-Aid.
I keep trying to convince Kim that we should have another
taste-test with all these new products, but she thinks our tasters
have had enough to last them quite a while. Maybe I can convince them
otherwise in the near future. (P.S.: I finally did convince them
over a year later. Watch Episode #93 for the results.)
Episode #56: A Real Tourist Favorite
First Broadcast: 7/31/95
A rant about a ridiculous op-ed which implied that the Korean War
Memorial in Washington DC was somehow better than the Vietnam War
Memorial there--as if one war or one set of veterans were better
than the other!
Episode #57: One Small Step For Man, One Giant Leap
For The Stealth Bomber
First Broadcast: 8/21/95
Episode #58: For Your Protection
First Broadcast: 8/28/95
An unexpurgated rant against Time Warner Cable's proposed plan
to scramble Channel 35 in Manhattan.
Episode #59: For . . . Press . . .
First Broadcast: 9/11/95
Part 1 of 2, in which Kim takes the lead in this unusual rant
against incompetent taxi drivers inside and outside New York
City, and the complicated gymnastics one has to endure in order
to make a complaint against a driver within the City.
A warning to all those who have impenetrable voice-mail trees.
Episode #60: Your TLC Commission Sucks
First Broadcast: 9/18/95
Part 2 of 2, in which Kim takes the lead in this unusual rant
against incompetent taxi drivers inside and outside New York
City, and the complicated gymnastics one has to endure in order
to make a complaint against a driver within the City.
Episode #61: No More For Me, I'm Driving
First Broadcast: 9/25/95
Thoughts I tried to piece together while I was on the verge of
falling asleep. The things I do for this show... :)
