Free New York has been on the air in Manhattan since January, 1994.
Every year is divided into 4 quarters, which are each about 3 months long. From 1994 through to the Third Quarter, 2001, all our episodes were 29 minutes long and submitted on Umatic cassette. From the Fourth Quarter, 2001, to the Fourth Quarter, 2015, all our episodes were 28 minutes long (due to changes made at Manhattan Neighborhood Network) and submitted on Mini-DV cassette. (Episodes made before the Fourth Quarter, 2001, which have been transfered to the new tape format have been marked with a (DV) after their air dates.) Starting with the First Quarter, 2016, our episodes are still 28 minutes long, but are now submitted as digital files to MNN. For information on a particular show, click on the quarter in which it was first broadcast.
